Love this piece because: colours, her eyes, the dress, the coloring, the technique, the colouring, the pose, the emotion, the everything, her eyes...

BIG FAVE!!! There should be a HARD FAVE button, to connote a very violent clicking of the fave button. I love this piece so much and thanks for sharing!!!!!

Hello, i have a question. You used acrylic and oil..what does oil have that acrylic doesn't have? is it the contrast? or something else..and don't you have to wait ages for it to dry? thank you!

Would you mind answering a question for me? How did you get the texture in the background. It looks like you removed a layer of darker paint by dripping or smearing something on it?

I can't tell. I've tried to get similar effects myself with oils and dripping turpentine, but I didn't really have much luck.

I'm pretty sure I put a layer of oil paint down, then while that layer was still tacky I loaded my brush with mostly turpentine. Dripped the background, let it dry for about five min then wiped the turp off.

Hope that help and thanks for the question.

Oh I see where I went wrong. I didn't let it sit, I just wiped it right away.

Thank you so much! It was very kind of you to reply.
